Energy
So I borrowed a machine that measures how much energy something drains and calculates the total cost in kilowatt hours. I measured how much it costs for a full charge of my phone which costed about $0.008 dollars you would have to charge your phone 1250 times to make it even cost one dollar.I also looked to see how much it cost to run my whole house which costs on average $8.24 per day. I also found out it cost more to run the house per day during the weekend vs the weekdays. It costs even more to run the house in January because everything is colder so the heating unit has to work a lot harder.I did some research and found out that through the power grid there is a loss of about 60% of the energy running through the lines, so on average it would to 144 KiloWatts running through the lines to actually power my house for a day.If we could actually improve the electrical grid to decrease the amount of energy lost then we would use less fossil fuels which would also decrease the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
