Interstellar
In this movie the whole reason that the human race has to leave Earth is a huge dust bowl happens and the soil cant produce any crops. One way we could prevent this from happening in real life would be to rotate crops, and to irrigate the fields. If something like the dust bowl in Interstellar ever happened in real life, and we had to find a new plant the plant would have to have an atmosphere similar to Earths, Also it would have to have gravity about the same strength of gravity on Earth. In my opinion a self sustaining space station would be way easier to uphold than a planet, because with a planet you have to worry about other living things the atmosphere, as well as natural events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, planet-quakes, and tsunami.
